My handmade jewelry incorporates crystals and semi-precious gemstones with copper, sterling silver, leather, clay, metallic powders for shimmering color, and casual pendants, earrings, and rings made to be worn every day. Each piece is made with love and positive intent. The colors, properties and shapes of each individual stone guides the design of the final jewelry item.
For now, while I’m experimenting with different techniques, I’ll post new items here and on the Studio Blog to keep everyone up to date on what’s happening in the studio.
The more I learn…the less I know…
Probably my biggest challenge is saying NO to an inclination to learn something new. Staying focused on what needs to be finished when a new idea demands my attention is not as easy as it seems like it would be.
Wow – what used to be a tidy graphic design work station has expanded into a constantly changing, multi-functional studio. Shelves with boxes and baskets and bins and cups – many, many tools. Art supplies. Fabrics. Paper, liquids and powders; a fire area for soldering and fusing and heat patinas – Books. More tools. More art supplies. A staging booth for taking product photos. Sigh….. yeah, but its a wonderful mess!!!
